PC R 93-14022 8��; � , ItESOLUTION NO. 93-1402 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE PROVIDING AN INTERPRETATION OF THE DEVELOPMENT CODE SECTION 9-12.060, OFF STREET PARKING REQUIREMENTS FOR 106 WFST BRANCH STREET WHEREAS, the Development Code was adopted by the City Council on May 14, 1991, and became effective on June 13, 1991; and WHEREAS, Section 9-01.110 (G)(3) of the Development Code provides the Planning Commission with the authority to clarify ambiguities in the Title; and WHEREAS, Development Code Section 9-12.060 lists off-street parking requirements by land use and allows the Planning Commission to determine the amount of required parking for uses not specifically listed; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has received a request for interpretation of the required parking for a combined work/storage space in a newly constructed second story at 106 West Branch Street; and WHEREAS, Development Code Section 9-12.060 indicates that parldng in the Village Commercial zone shall be provided at a rate of 1 parking space per 300 square feet of gross floor area; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, after due research and deliberation finds that: 1. The proposed work/storage space is incidental to the retail use on the first floor and must be included within the gross floor area of the retail use. NOW, TFIEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission of the City of Arroyo Grande hereby makes the interpretation that parking shall be required at a rado of 1 parking space per 300 square feet of gross floor area for the proposed work/storage space at 106 West Branch Street. If parking cannot be provided a variance shall be required. On motion of Commissioner Tappan, seconded by Commissioner Carr, and on the following roll call vote, to wit: AYFS: Commissioners Moore, Tappan, Carr, Reilly, and Chairman Soto NOES: None ABSENT: None the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted this Sth day of 7anuary, 1993.
