WHEREAS, the Plaruiing Cbrrm�i,ssion of the City of Arroyo Grande has held the
required public hearing at their regtilar meetings of Jiaie 17, 1986 and July l, 1986 to consider
an amendrnent to the General Plan Land Use Element Map on the following = described property:
In the CTty of Arroyo Grande, Cbunty of San Lids Obispo,
State of C�lifornia, Parcels 11 and 2 of Parcel Map 73-163.
Also identi�ed by County Assessor's Parcel No. 6-391-42
and 6-391-43.
WAER.EAS, the Plarviing Cb�ssion feels that the public interest and general w�elfare
does require such an amen�nent; and
WHEREAS, the Cb�rHni.ssion minutes including a list of persor�s who testified at the
public hearing, sumr�ary of fact and findings, and copies of any maps pertinent to the proposal
are on file and hereby declared to be part of said Resolution. ,
NOW, THER.EFORE, BE IT RE�OLVED that said Pl,anning Comr�ssion hereby
reco�nends as follows: �
'Ihat the General Plan Land Use Element Map be amended by changing the
classi�cation of certain areas described in Paragraph 1 above from Medium High Density
R.esidential and Open Space Designation to Professional Cioirrnercial and Low Density Residential
Designation. �
With the following �ndings:
1. Based on an initial environmental review, a rrntigated negative declaration is
deemed appropriate with the conditions stated in the staff reporE, dated July 1,
1986, which include having a qualified archaeological �cor�sultant� onsite for all
grading, trenching, and filling of the 100 foot wide eastern portion of the site.
ALso, that a left <ttmn lane be p�ovided for entrance to the site; and
2. Zhat the p�oposed amendrnent is cor�sistent with the goals and objectives of the
General Plan; and
3.. That the proposed amendment is consistent with the other 6 mandated Elements of
the Comprehensive General Plan.
On motion by Cbrraivssioner Soto, seconded by Commu.ssioner Gerrish, and by the
following roll call vote, to wit:
