PC R 84-972�16 RESOLUTION NO. 84-972 A RESOLUTION OI' TEIE PLANNING CONIMISSION OF T3E CITY OF ARROYO GRFINDE RECONLMFNDING APPROVAL UF AN AMENDMENT TO THE ARROYO GRANDE MUNICIPAL CODE, SECTION 9-4.908(b) and (c) "MINIMUil YARDS REQUIRED" IN THE "R-3" MULTIPLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of 1lrroyo Grande has held the required public hearing at their regular meeting of February 7, 1984, on the proposed amendment to the rlunicipal Code, Section 9-4.908 (b) and (c) as follows: Section 9-4'.908(b) Side Yard There shall be a side yard on each side of the lot, extending from the front yard to the rear yard, of not less than five (5) feet on an interior lot line. This side yard shall be ten (10') feet in the event the dwelling unit is oriented in such a manner - that the side yard is actually the rear yard for the dwelling unit. A corner lot shall have a side yard abutting the street of not less than ten (10') feet. Section 9-4.909(c) Rear Yard. Each lot shall have a rear yard e:ctending across the full width of the lot of not less than ten (10')feet. In addition, each dwelling unit shall have a rear yard extending across the full width of the dwelling of not less than ten (10') feet. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED .that the Planning Commission of the City of Arroyo Grande hereby recommends approval of the amendment for the following reason: 1. To assure that regardless of which way a structure is placed on the property, there will will'.be ten (10') feet between the back of the building and the property , line. On motion by Commissioner Fischer, seconded by Commissioner Carr, and by the following roll call vote, to wit: AYES: Commissioners Benhardt, Carr, Fischer, Moore and Chairman Gerrish NOES: None ABSENT: Commissioners Moots and Olsen the fo��egoing Resolution was adopted this 7th d�jof 1984.
