RESOLUTION NO. 82-930 V
RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
ARROYO GRANDE GRANTING A VARIANCE,.CASE NO. 82-88. •
The Planning Commission fi_nds that the ,ariance applied for by Alton :
H. and Anita L. Plartin at 166 Alder Street meets the requirements of Section ---
7.3 of the Arroyo Grande Zoning Ordinance as amended, to allow for reductiori
of the required side yard setback from 10 ft. to'2 ft. to allow construction
of a six (6) ft. fence in the setback area in the "R-1" Single Family
Residential District on the following described property:
In the City of Arroyo Grande, County of San Luis
Obispo, State of California, County Assessor's
Parcel No. 77-222-12. Also known as 166 Alder St.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission finds that:
(a) The granting of said application does not constitute a grant of
special privilege inconsistent with limitations upon other properties in
the vicinity and same zoning in which this property is located, and (b)
because there are special circumstances applicable to the property (size-
shape-topcgraphy-location-surroundings), the strict application of the
Zor.ing OrdinarLe does deorive applicant's property of privileges enjoyed
by other pr.operties in the vicinity and in the same zoning classification,
and approves sa?d Variance for the following reason:
1. Shap ci yard precludes privacy on a heavily travelled street.
