1tESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF ARROYO GRANDE RECOMMENDING DENIAL OF AN AMEND-
MENT TO THE LAND USE ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN.
WHEREAS, the Planniny Commission of the''�'��'ity of Arroyo Grande has held !'�'''�
the required public hearing at their regular meeting of October 5, 1982 to
consider an amendment to the General Plan Land Use Element Map on the follow-
ing described property:
Parcels 1, 2 and 3 of Block B, Pike Plaza Tract No.
244 in the City of Arroyo Grancle, County of San
Luis Obispo, State of California. Also identified
as Assessor's Parcel No. 77-332-23.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission feels that the public interest and
general welfare does not require such an amendment; and
WHEREAS, the Commission minutes including a list of persons who
testified at the public hearing, summary of fact and findings, and copies
of any maps pertinent to the proposal are on file and hereby declared to
be part of said Resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that said Planning Commission hereby
reconunends as =oiiows:
That the General Plan i:and Use Element Map not be amended by
changir:g the_classification of certain areas described in
Paragraph � above from Neighborhood Commercial to High
Density Residential Land Use Designation
for the follc:•:i :? reason:
1. Change would not be compatible to and in keeping with the
existi�g land use.
On mation by Cocn. seconded by Commissioner Moore, �
and by the following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Comriissioners Benhardt, Moore, Moots, Pilkington and
Chairman Gerrish
NOES: None
ABSENT: Commissioners Carr and Cole
the foregoing Resolution was adopted this 5th day of October 1982.
