RESOLUTION OF `PHE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITX OF
ARROYO GRANDE RECOI�INIENDING AN AMENDMENT Z'O TH�.
SUBDIVISION CFDINANCE, SECT�ONS 9-3.60£3(d) AND
9-3.7�2 RELATING TO DURATION AND EXTENSIONS OF
TENTATIVE SUBDIVISION AND MINOR SUBDIVISION MAPS.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Arroyo Grande has held
the required public hearing at their regular meeting of June 15, 1982 on
tlie proposed amendment to the Subdivision Ordinance, Sections 9-3.608(d) and
9-3.712 as follows:
Section 9-3.608(d) Effective time period of approval. .
An approved or conditionally approved tentative map shall expire twenty-four
l24) months after its approval or conditional approval unless er.tended as
provided for herein. Upon application of the subdivider filed prior to the
expiration of the approved or conditionally approved tentative map, the time
at which the map expires may be extended by the Arroyo Grande City Planning
Commission for a period, or periods, not exceeding a total of two (2) years.
If the Planning Commission denies a subdivider's application for extension,
the subdivider may appeal to the City Council within fifteen (15) days after
the Planning Commission has denied the extension.
Section 9-3.712 Approval limitations.
An approved or conditionally approved minor subdivision map shall expire
twenty-four (24) months after its approval or conditional approval unless
extended as provided for herein. Upon application of the subdivider filed
prior. to the e:�oiration of the approved or conditionally approved tentative
minor subdivision r:ap, the time at which the map expires may be extended by
the Arroyo Grar:de City Planning Commission for a period, or periods, not
exceeding a tcta� or two (2) years. If the Planning Commission denies a
subdiv�der's a.ppli.cation for extension, the subdi��ider may appeal to the
City Council �a?Tnin fiiteen {15) days after the Plannirig Commission has
denied the ex�ens�on.

of �:rroyo Gra�.d° h2reby recommends approval of the amendment for the follow-
ing reason:
l. To hri��g the Su�division Ordinance into conformance
with the new State law.
