PC R 82-904 V043 RESOLUTION NO. 82-904 V RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING CONMISSION OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE APPROVING A VAFtIANCE, CASE NU. 82=85. The Planning Commission finds that the Variance applied for by Lee 0. Webb at Oak Park Boulevard and Highway 101 meets the requirements of Section 7.3 of the Arroyo Grande Zoning Ordinance as amended, to allow for reduction in size of required.parking spaces for proposed PIotor Inn and Restaurant in the "H-S" Highway Service District on the following described property: Lot 4 of Tract No. 604, in the City of Arroyo Grande, County of San Luis Obispo, State of California, accord- ing to the map recorded August 24, 1977 in Book 9, Page 39 of tIaps. WHEF2EAS, the Planning Commission finds that: (a) The granting of said application does not constitute a grant of special privilege inconsistent with limitations upon other properties in the vicinity and same zoning in which this property is located, and (b) that because there are special circumstances applicable to the property ( size - shape - topography - location-surroundings) the strict application of the Zoning Ordinance does deprive applicant's property of privileges enjoyed by otner properties in the vicinity and in the same zoning classi- fication, and approves said Variance for the following reasons: 1. Due to the trend of using smaller sized cars, it is possible that he Ordinance requirements are no longer feasible. 2. The reduction in size would lend itself to a much better deve lopi-ient. 3. The h-Na, Center parking spaces are available to this develo On mction by Corunissioner Cole, seconded by Commissioner Benhardt, and by the followi;g roll call vote, to wit:, AYES: r;oES : BSENT: 'om., Benhardt, Cole, Moots, Pilkington and Chairman Gerrish i one Co: Sebastian the foregoina Resoluion was adopted this lst day of June 19
