PC R 80-777 V411 RESOLUTION N0. 80-777 V RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISS.ION OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE GRANTING A VARIANCE, CASE N0. 80-70, The Planning Commissiori finds that fhe Variance applied for by J. M. McGillis, San Luis Engineering, meets the requirements of Section 9-4.1310, Subsection b, of the Arroyo Grande Zoning Ordinance as amended, to permit the relocation and renovation of an existing building to maintain a 5 ft. setback and allow for the retention of character and architecture of the existing structure in the "C-B-D" Central Business District on the follow- ing described property: "Portion of Lot 1 of the Bank Tract in the City of Arroyo Grande, County of San Luis Obispo, State of California. Also identified by Assessor's Parcel No. 7-481-19, and known as 132 Bridge Street." sub3ect to the following conditions: 1. That the setback be reduced to 4�ft. 2. That the island adjoining the 12 ft. driveway be elimina- ted to provide a minimum of a 16 ft, drive. 3. No eave overhang shall be permitted to project beyond the property line. This reconm►endation requires that the building be moved west- erly and, in order to accommodate the 24 ft. backup for parking stalls 5 through�8, the landscape island between the building and parking stall �k2 would be reduced accordingly. for the following reasons: . 1. That the granting of the Variance is necessary to preserve the heritage architecture of the building. 2. That the granting of said Variance will�not.adversely affect the adjoining property.
