RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF'ARROYO GRANDE GRANTING A VARIANCE, CASE NO.
80-63�
The Planning Commission finds that the Variance applied for by Russell
E. Mott at 556 Via La Barranca, meets the requirements of Section 7.3 of the
Arroyo Grande Zoning Ordinance as amended, to allow for construction of a
2-1/2 ft. chain link fence with redwood inserts on top of a 6 ft. block wall
in the "RA-B2-D" Residential Agricultural District on the following described
property:
Lot 10, Tract 453 in the City of Arroyo Grande,
County of San Luis Obispo, State of California,
according to Map recorded February 18, 1977 in
Book 9, Page 19 of Maps. Also identified as
Assessor's Parcel No. 7-021-28 and 556 Uia La
Barranca.
(a) in that it does not constitute a grant of special privilege inconsistent
with limitations upon other properties in the vicinity and same zoning in
which this property is located, and (b) that because there are special circum-
stances applicable to the property, the strict application of the Zoning Ordi-
nance does deprive applicant's property of privileges enjoyed by other proper-.ties
in the vicinity and in the same zoning classification, and grants said Variance
for the following reason:
l. Would not adversely affect abutting properties.
On motion by Commissioner Cole, seconded by Commissioner Fischer, and
by the following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Commissioners Cole, Carr, Fischer, Sebastian and
Chairman Gorsline
NOES: None
ABSENT: Commissioners Moots and Simmons
