PC R 79-673 ZRESOLUTION N0. 79-673 Z 293 RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF AN AMENDMENT TO THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE ,CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE AS PROVIDED BY CHAPTER 4 ZONING, ARTICLE 32 OF SAID CODE. WHEREAS, the Planning Co�nission of the City of Arroyo Grande, California has held a public hearing on the application of Warren Douglas Thompson, Agent for E. E. Gearing, to amend the Municipal Code of the City of Arroyo Grande as provided by Chapter 4, Article 32, of said Code to rezone all that property described as follows from "A" Agricultural District to "P-D" Planned Development District: "In the City of Arroyo Grande, County of San Luis Obispo, State of California, that property approximately 60 acres plus or minus lying generally easterly of Pilgrim Way and the Arroyo ' Grande High School property, northeasterly of Valley Road, and abutting Highway 101 on the easterly property line, more com- monly known as Assessor's Parcel No. 6-084-11, and a portion of 6-095-01 and 6-095-06." WHEREAS, the Planning Co�nission feels that the public interest and general welfare does require such an amendment; and WEiEREAS, the Commission minutes including a list of persons who testified at the public hearing, suIIanary of fact and findings, and copies of any maps pertinent to the proposal are on file and hereby declared to be part of said Resolution. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that said Planning Commission hereby recommends approval of the amendment as applied for, for the following reasons: l. Zone change from "A" District to "P-D" District would be in keeping with the Land Use Plan. 2. Change would be compatible to and in keeping with the surrounding de- velopments and zoning. Subject to the following conditions: 1. That a comprehensive drainage and circulation plan be prepared by the developer and approved by the Planning Couunission and City Council prior to the approval of any tentative map.
