RESOLUTION N0. 79-660 G
RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF ARROYO GRA,NDE ADOPTING THE SCENIC ELEMENT OF THE
GENERAL PLAN.
WI-iEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Arroyo Grande has
prepared a general plan report, together with general plan maps, entitled
the "Scenic" plan required by Government Code Section 65302,1, and did
all things legally and technically required by law to develop reports and
maps adequate in scope and authority to serve the purpose of a general plan;
an d
WI�REAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 65501 et, seq. the City
Planning Co�nission gave required notice and did hold a public hearing on
March 20, 1979, for the purpose of considering the adoption of the Scenic
Element of the General Plan report and maps, and at which public hearing the
Scenic Plan, reports and maps were displayed, explained and reported upon;
an d
WHEREAS, said Scenic Element of the General Plan report and maps
thereof are necessary for sound future community development, the preser-
vation of co�anunity values, and the promotion of the general health, safety,
convenience and welfare of the citizens of the City of Arroyo Grande; and
WI�REAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Arroyo Grande has a
responsibility to plan for the desirable future growth and development of
the City of Arroyo Grande;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1 . The Planning Commission of the City of Arroyo Grande does
hereby find and determine that the public interest, convenience and neces-
sity require that the Scenic Element of the General Plan, as amended, together
with the maps be adopted,
Section 2. The Planning Commission Chairman is authorized and dir-
ected to certify this approval upon the Scenic Element of the General Plan
as amended and forward to the City Council for�consideration.
On motion by Co�anissioner Fischer, seconded by Commissioner Simmons,
and by the following ro11 ca11 vote, to wit:

the foregoing Resolution was defeated this 20th day of March 1979.
