RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ARROYO
GRANDE RECOMMENDING DENIAL OF AN AMENDMENT TO THE MUNICIPAL
CODE OE.THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE�AS PROVIDED BY CHAP�fiR 4,
ZONING, ARTICLE 32 OF SAID CODE.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Arroyo Grande, California
has held a public hearing on the application of Warren Douglas Thompson (Agent
for E.E. Gearing), to amend the Municipal Code of the City of Arroyo�Grande as
provided by Chapter 4, Zoning, Article 32, of said Code, to prezone all that
property described as follows from "R-A" Residential Agricultural District in
San Luis Obispo County to "P-D" Planned Development District:
In the County of San Luis Obispo, State of California,
a parcel of property of 47 acres, plus or minus, abut-
ing Sunrise Terrace Mobile Home Park on its easterly
property line. Also known as County Assessor's Parcel
No. 75=021-26, .
WHEREAS, the Planning Conanission feels that the public interest and
general welfare does not require such an amendment, and
WHEREAS, the Co�anission minutes including a list of persons who testified
at the Public Hearing, su�►ary of fact and findings and copies of any maps per-
tinent are on file and hereby declared to be part of said Resolution:
NOW,�THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that said Planning Co�nission hereby re-
commends denial of the amendment as applied for, for the following reason:
1. Prezoning and subsequent�..annexation could lead to develop-
ment which was felt to be not timely due to large number
of proposed projects for properties currently in the City.
On motion by Commissioner Fischer, seconded by Commissioner Simmons, and
by the following roll call vote, to wit:
