RESOLUTION NO. 78-614 G
the proposed amenc�trnent to the Land Use Element Text of the General Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Arroyo Grande has studied
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Arroyo Grande has the
responsibility to plan for the most desirable development of the City of Arroyo
Grande; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Arroyo Grande did all
things legally required by State Statute and did hold public hearings on
May 2, 1978, May 16, 1978 and June 6, 1978, and prior to the adoption of
this Resolution did consider all public input expressed at said public hearings.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Planning Commission of the City of Arroyo Grande
does hereby resolve as follows:
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF
AN AMENDMENT TO THE LAND USE ELEMENT TEXT OF THE
GENERAL PLAN.
Section 1. The Planning Commission of the City of Arroyo Grande
does hereby find and determine that the public interest,
convenience and necessity require that the proposed
amendment to the Land Use Element Text of the General
Plan be adopted.
Section 2. The Planning Commission of the City of Arroyo Grande does
hereby adopt the proposed amendment to Paragraph 2, Page
14 of the Land Use Element Text as follows:
"An agricultural des:ignation and a five acre minimum
� parcel size shall be presumed appropriate for prime
agricultural land. This presumption may be overcome
and such land designated for non-agricultural use and
divided into parcels smaller than 5 acres only upon
presentation of clear evidence, using the criteria
on Pages 7 and 8, that such changes are appropriate."
Section 3. The Planning Commission Chairman is hereby authorized
and directed to certify this approval of the General
Plan Land Use Element Text, as amended, and forward
to the City Council for consideration.

the following roll call vote, to wit:
