A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO
GRANDE AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 606, ADOPTING A PERSONNEL
SYSTEM, RULES AND REGUlATIONS.
WHEREAS, the City Council is authorized and directed under the provisions
of Section 2-3.04 of the Arroyo Grande Municipal Code to adopt rules and regulations
for the administration of the Personnel System; and
WHEREAS, the granting of such sick leave with pay to each employee is not
to be considered as a privilege, but to be used only in case of necessity and
actual sickness or disability; ~nd
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the City Administrator that City
employees have the option of converting a portion of their accumulated sick
leave to ~heir current daily pay rateeow'VaCationt1me) 'Wh1chwGu14 i;8rM:as

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Arroyo
Grande does amend Resolution No. 606, which will require that all such sick leave
will be posted on an annual basis from December 1st through November 30th of each
calendar year, and each employee will have the option of converting one-quarter
(1/4) of accrued sick leave during the annual period of December 1st through

TO ALL PERMANENT CITY EMPLOYEES:
The City Council, on July 10, 1973, adopted a new resolution effecting sick
leave. Resolution Number 1051 states: ".....each employee will have the
option of converting one-quarter (\) of accrued sick leave, during the annual
period of December 1st to November 30th, to the current daily pay rate or
vacation time, or to remain as sick leave......". The balance of the sick
leave would be carried over to cover any future needs. This change became
