RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF ARROYO GRANDE RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF AN AMENDMENT
TO THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE �S
PROVIDED BY CHAPTER 4 ZONING, ARTICLE 32 OF SAID CODEe
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Arroyo Grande, California has
held a pubTic hearing on the application of Robert Eo.Wal]cer to amend the Municipal
Code of the City of Arroyo Grande as provided by Chapter 4, Article 32, of said Cbde,
to rezone all that property described as follows from "RA-B3" Residential Agricultural
District to "R-1" Single Family Residential Districto
All that certain real property situated in the County of San Luis Obispo, State
of California, and particularly described as follows:
That portion of Lot One Hundred Five (105), of parts of the Ranchos Corral
de Piedra, Pismo and'Bolsa de Chemisal, surveyed by Jas. T. Stratton, C. E,,
September 1893, in the County of San Luis Obispo, State of California,
according to map filed for record in the office of the County Recorder of
said County described as follows:
Beginning at the most Southerly corner of Lot 1_in Block 18, according to
the Map of the Western Addition to the Town of Arroyo Grande,_ filed for
record in the office of the County Recorder o�f said County, April 10, 1894;
thence South 23° 03' East 63024 feet; then South 1� 10' East 2380.11 feet to
the Northwesterly corner of the property canveyed to Ho Elissague, et uxo,
by deed.recorded April 13, 1937, in Book 214 of Official Records, at page
237, records of said County,- and continuing South 1° 10' East along the
�` Westerly line of.the property so conveyed 218072 feet to the true of
beginning; thence from said true ,point of beginning North 88 50' East
472.98 feet to the Easterly line of the property so conveyed; thence South
3� 18' East along said Easterly line 183001 feet; thence leaving said Easterly
,line and running South 88 50' West 479079 feet to the Westerly line of the
property so conveyed; thence North 1� 10' West along said Westerly line 182.88
feet to the true point of beginningo
Said property is also shown as a portion of Block 23, according to the map
of Chautauqua Park, filed for record in the office of the County Recorder
of said County of San Luis Obispo, July 7, 18970
Said property is aTso shown on Licensed Surveyor's Map, recorded April 6,
1937, in Book 2 of Record of Surveys, at page 43, records of San Luis Obispo
County.
WHEREAS, the Planning Com¢nission feels that the public interest and general
welfare does require such an amendment, and is in keeping with the Land Use Plan;
and '
WHEREAS, tfie Commission minutes including a list of persons who testified at
the public hearing, summary of fact and findings, and copies of any maps pertinent
to the proposal are on file and hereby declared to be part of said Resolutione
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that said Planning Cqmmission hereby recommends
approval of the amendment as applied for, for the following reasons:
1. Zone change from'RA-B3" to "R-1" District would be in keeping with the
Land Use Plano •
2. Change would be compatible to and in-keeping with the surrounding develop-
ments and zoningo ,
On motion by Commissioner Cole, seconded by Commissioner Ries, and by the
following ro1T call vote, to wit:
