RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRAI3DE PLANNING COMMZSSION
RECOMMENDING APPROV.�,L OF AN AMEIv'DMENT TO TIiE MUNICIPA3� CODE
OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRAND� I�� PROVID�D BY CHAPTER 4 ZONING,
ARTICLE 32, OF SAID CODEa
WHEREAS, the Planning Co�nission of the C�ty of Arroyo Grande, California
has.held a public hearing on the applicarion of William Ea Lackey to amend the
Municipal Code of the City of Arroyo Grande a� provided by Chapter 4, Article
32 of said Code, to rezone all that progerty de�cribed as follows from "R-A-B-3"
Residential Agricultural District to "Rml" Single Family Resi�ential Dist.rict:
"That portion of Lot D of map of Villa Sites, belonging to Mr�, Crabbe,
in the City of Arroyo Grande, County of San Luis Obi�po, State of
California, according to map thereof recorded April 28, 1888, in Book
A, Page 67 of maps in the Office of the County Recorder of said county,
desc�ibed as follows:

Begin�ing at stake 5,313 �e� at the most southerly corner of Lo�s D
and E as shown on the map above referred to and at the intersection
of the easterly line of the Arroyo Grande and San Luis �Obispo Road,
with the northerly line of the Huasna Road;
thence north 81° east along the northerly line of the Huasna Road,
182,48 feet to, the true point of beginning;
thence continuing north 81° east. along the northerly lfne of said
Huasna Road, 110<00 feet, more or less, to stal�e Se42 set at the
southeasterly corner of said Lot D;
thence north 15° 30' easf along the ea�ferly Tine of said Lot D,
161,05 feet;
thence north 74° 30' west 90 feet;
thence south 18° 17' S0" west 206,90 feet to the true point of beginning,
Said land is also shown on licensed surveyors map recorded May 13, 1959
in Book 9, Page 68 of Record of Surveys in the Office of the County
Recorder of said county.
Except therefrom that portion of said land descri'bed in rhe deed to
the City of Arroyo Grande, by deed recorded October 27, 1967 in
Book 1453, Page 651.of official recordso"
WI�REAS, the Planning Co�ission feels that the public interest and
general welfare does require such an amendment, ar�d is.in keeping with the
Land Use Plan,.and `
WHEREAS, the Commissfon minutes.including a list of persons who testi-
fied at the Public Hearing, summary of fact and findings and copies of any
maps pertinent to the proposal are on file and hereby declarecl to be part.of
said Resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that said Planning Co�nission hereby
reco�ends approval of the amendment for the folYowing reasons:
1, Zone change to "R-1" District o,rould be compatible to and in keeping
with surrounding developments, zoning and Land Use Plan,
