RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF ARROYO GRANDE GRANTING A USE PERMIT, CASE N0,
74-229.
The Planning Commission finds that the Use Permit applied for by Five
Cities Ambulance Service at 135 So. Halcyon Road meets the requirements of
the Arroyo Grande Municipal Code to allow for an ambulance service on the
following described property.
"That portion of Lot 105 of the Ranchos Corral de Piedra, Pismo
and Bolsa de Chamisal, subdivided by James T. Stratton, September
1873 in the City of Arroyo Grande, County of San Luis Obispo,
State of California, according to map filed for record in Book A,
Page 65 of Maps in the office of the County Recorder of said county,
described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the Easterly line of Cienega Avenue, distant
thereon South 0 09' East, 365 •95 feet from the Southwest corner of
Lot 1 in Block 16 according to map of the Western Addition to the
Town of Arroyo Grande, recorded in Book B, Page 10 of Maps, said
point of beginning being the Southwest corner of the property
conveyed to Charles S. Smith, et. ux., by a deed dated June 6 1945
and recorded in Book 383, Page 372 of Official Records; thence from
said point of beginning North 0 09' West along the Easterly line of
Cienega Avenue, 115 feet; thence leaving said Easterly line, Easterly
in a direct line 9 feet, more or less, to a point on the Easterly
line of the property conveyed to Berry W. Phelps, Jr., et ux., by
deed dated �anuary 28, 1948 and recorded in Book 471, Page 21 of
Official Records distant thereon South 0 09' East, 24 feet, from
the Northeast corner thereof; thence South 0 09' East along said
Easterly line and the extension thereof, 76 feet to the Southeast
line of the property conveyed to Charles S. Smith, et. ux., by deed
aforesaid; thence South 66 ° 57' West along Southeast line, 100 feet
to the point of beginning."
and grants said Use Permit subject to the following conditions;
l. If the structure is to be used for living quarters, a garage to
be constructed for tenant's use.
2. The undeveloped property southerly of the building be improved
for not less than three off-street parking spaces, and the carport
be used for an ambulance.
3• Sidewalks be completed on Halcyon Road frontage,
4. That a landscaping plan be developed for the property and approved
by the Architectural Committee prior to occupancy.
For the following reasons:
l. Would not adversely affect a�utting properties.
2. Permissive use within the District subject to Use Permit procedure.
On motion by Commissioner Ries, seconded by Commissioner Mathews, and
by the following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Commissioners Cole, Mathews, Miller, Moots,
and Chairman Calhoon
