RECOMMEND9NG AN AF1ENDMENT TO TH� MUN�C9PAL CODE OF TH� CVTY
OF ARROYO GRANDE AS PROVBD�D BY CHA�'7'ER 4 ARTBC�E �1 OF
SAID CODE.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commessaon of the G°sty of Ao°�°oyo Grande, California
has held a publec hearing on the appldcation of Jo Douglas Langford, Monroe So
Felty, Jr., and John F. Mudge to amend the Munec°spal Code of the.City of Arroyo
Grande as provided by Chapter 4 Article 21 of saed code to rezone all that
property described as .follows from RAmB3 Residentual Agricultural District to
R-G Garden Apartment Residential District,
"That portion of Subdevisuons A and B of Ma�rs of the Lands of D. F. and
Anna Newsom, comprising part of the Ranchos Bolsa de Chemisal and Santa
Manuela, according to Surveys of R. R. H�rros in 1875, B. F. HBnchliffe
in 1877, and othe�°s, in the County of San Luos Obaspo, State of California,
according to Map filed for record �une 5, 1891 an Book A, Page 77 of Maps,
in the office of the county re�ordec of saod county, described as follows;
Beginning at a point which bears Noeth 434 deg. West, 478,50 feet from
Post 10 at the most easterly corraer of said Lot B9 thence Narth 434 deg.
West, 867.90 feet to lane of Rancho Corral de Piedra; thence South
43 3/4 deg. West, 363.00 feet; thence South 434 deg. East 841.50 feet;
thence North 43 3/4 deg, East 26,40 feet; thence North 43 3/4 deg.
East, 328.68 feet to the poont of beginning."
WHEREAS, the Plannong Commassion feels that the publBC interest and general
welfare does require such an amendment, and is in keeping with the Land Use Plan,
and
WHEREAS, the'Commission minutes uncludang last of persons who testified
at the public hearing, summary of fact and findings and copies of any maps
pertinent to the proposal are attached and hereby declared to be part of said
Resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE BT RESO�VED that sa,�d planning Commission hereby
recommends approval of the amendment as applied for with the following
conditions:
Rezoning from RAm63 District to R-GmD Dlstract. The "D"
designation to indicate maximum densuty not to exceed 6'-
dwelling units per gross acre,
For the following reasons;
1. Zone Change to RmG Destract would be compateble to the general area.
On moteon by Commissioner Goulart seconded by Commissioner Porter, and
on the following roll call v�te, to wet:
AYES: Commissioners Goulart, Porter and St. Denis
NOES: Commissioners Gulleckson, Pope and Spserling
ABSENT: Chairman Jones
The foregoing Resolution was not adopted thas 5th day of February 1973
due to the lack of a majority vote,
