A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF ARROYO GRANDE GRANTING A VARIANCE, CASE N0, 71-45
The Planning Commission finds that the Variance applied fo�r by 4lillsam J.
Flannigan at 320 Branch Street meets the requirements of Section 7.3 of the
Arroyo Grande Zoning Ordinance No. 157 as amended, to allow for fhe operation of
Design and Mold Making business - Fiber.glass on the following described property;
In the City of Arroyo Grande, County of San Luis Obispo,
State of California, in the Short, Mason and`Whiteley
Addition, a portion of Lots 16 and 14 and Lot 17 Block 7
and adjacent portion of abandoned Whiteley Street.
(a) in that it does not constitute a grant of special privilege "inconsistent with
limitations upon other properties in the vicinity and same zo�ning. in which
, this property is. located, and
(b) that because there are special circumstances applicable to the property
(size-shape-topography- location-surroundings) the strict application of
the Zoning Ordinance does deprive applicant's property of pri enjoyed
by other properties in the vicinity and in the same zoning cl'assific�tion,
and grants said Variance subject to the following conditions;
l. Variance is granted for a period of one year, subject to review.
2. Petitioner to meet all requirements for the use by the Fire Marshal.
For the Following Reasons;
1. Present structures are not adaptable to retail sales use as required
by the District, and
2. The properties are not yet needed for redevelopment purposes.
