COMMISS90N REC�MMEND7NG DEN7AL OF AN_RMEI�DMENT TO
THE MUNBC�PAL CODE OF THE"C�TY OF ARROYO GRANDE AS
PROVIDED BY CHAPTER 4 ZON9NG, ARTICLE 2.1, OF SADD COD�,
WHEREAS, the Plar�ning Commission of the City of Ro Grande, Cal°efornia has
held a public hearing on the app.tication of Vick P�ce to amend the Municipal Code
of the City of Arroyo Grande as.provided by Chapter 4, Art6cle 21 of said code, to
rezorae a.11 that property described as follows from R�A-B�1 to R-3 District.
That portion of .Lot 19_of Steele's Resubdi�vision of a pao°t of the Ranchos
Corral de Peedra, Posmo and Bolsa de Chemisal the CBty. of Arroyo Grande
County.of San LuBs Obespo, State of California, accor�lor�g to map recorded
November 24,.1886 in Book�A, Page 63 of Maps, described as follows;
Beginning at a post marked.S.60 at the most Southerly corner of said:Lot 19;
thence North 32'- West along the Southwesterly. line of said Lot.l9, 8.74
chains.to a point in the Arroyo Grande Creek; thence:South 81 East 2.g0
chains; thence.South 322 East 7.03 chains to the Northerly line of Myrtle
Street; thence South 57z° West along said Northerly. line 2.18 chains to
the point of beginning.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission feels that the public interest and general
welfare does not require such an amendment, and

WHEREAS, the Commission minutes including list of persons who testified at
the Public Hearing, summary of fact and .findings and copies of any maps pertinent
to the proposal are attached and hereby declared to be part of said Resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that said.Planning Commission hereby recommends
denial of the amendment as applied for, for the following reasons:
l. Existing RA•B1 Zoning more appropriate_to the property.
2. Existing streets and circulation patterns would not accommodate
requested density.
On motion of Commissioner Nunes, seconded by Commissioner Bowles,.and by the
following ro.11 call vote, to wit:
AYES: Commissioners Bowles, Nunes, St. Denis, Schultz,.Strother and
Cha i rman ,Moss
NOES: None '
ABSENT:' Commissioner.Porter
The foregoang Resolution was adopted this l6th day of February,.1971.
