A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE PLANNING
COMMISSION RECOMMENDING AN.AMENDMENT TO THE MUNIC.IPAL
CODE OF THE CITY. OF ARROYO GRANDE.AS PROVIDED BY
CHAPTER 4 ZONING,.ARTICLE 21, OF SAID CODE. ,
WHEREAS, the.P.lanning Comm.ission of the City of Arroyo Grande,. California has
held public hearings on the applicatiqn of Stanley and.Lois Grieb to�amend the
Municipal Code of the City of Arroyo Grande as provided by Chapter 4, Article 21
of said Code, to rezone all that prop�rty described.as follows from RA-63 to R-1
District. �
That portion of Lot 108 of the subdivision of the Ranchos Corral de
Piedre,.Pismo and Bolsa cle Chamisal, in the County of San Luis Obispo,
State of California, according to the map thereof as subdivided by
James T. Stratton, Civil Enginee.r,. September 1875, recorded in Book A
at Page 65 of Maps in the Office of the County Recorder of said County,
described.as follows:
Beginning at the Northwest corner of said lot designated S-255 on said
map; thence South along the West line of said lot, 638. feet to the
Northwest corner of the .land described in the deed to Fred.A. Grieb
and Gertrude H..Qrieb, his wife, recorded September 29, 1927 in Book
38 at Page 85, O.R.., being the true point of beginning; thence East
al.ong the North line of the .land so described in said deed, 842.75
feet to a point; thence at right angles South 147.0 feet; thence at
a right angle West 842.75 feet to a point.in the West line of said
lot; thence North along the West line of said Lot,.l47 feet to the
True Point of Beginning.
WHEREAS,:the Planning Commission feels that the public.interest and general
welfare does require such an amendment, and is in keeping with the Land Use Plan,
and
WHEREAS� the Commission minutes including list of persons who testified at
the Public Hearing, summary of fact and findings and copies of any maps pertinent
to the proposal are attached and hereby declared to be part of said Resolution.
NOW,. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that said Planning Commission hereby recommends
approval of the amendment for the following reasons:
1. Compatible with existing land use to north and west.
2. Provide orderly development.of the area.
On mot.ion of Commissioner Bowles, seconded by Commissioner Strother, and by
the following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Commissioners Bowles, Nunes, Porter, St. Den.is, Strother and
Chairman Moss
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
