A RESOLUTION OF THE CI1�Y OF ARROYO GRANDE PLANNING �
- COMMISSION RECOMMENDING DEN,IAL OF AN AMENDMENT TO THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF ARROYd GRANDE AS PROVIDED
BY CHAPTER 4 ZONING, ARTICLE 21, OF SAID CODE,
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Arroyo Grande, California,
has held a public F�earing on the application of Don P. Barber for the purpose of
considering proposed pre-zoning relative to the hereinafter described reaT property,
which is outside the city limits of the City of Arroyo Grande, from R-1 to R-3
District.
All that portion of Lot 8 of the Resubdivision of a part of the Ranchos
Corral de Piedra, Pismo and Bolsa de Chemisal, surveyed by R. R. Harris
November 1885, in the County of San Luis Obispo, State of California,
according to map filed for record November 24, 1886 in the office of the
County Recorder of said County, described as.follows;
Beginning at a point on the Southwesterly line of said Lot 8, which is
North 53i° West 20 feet from Post S.29 at the most Southerly corner of
said Lot 8, said point being the true point of beginning, and running
thence North 44° East 5.26 chains parallel with the Southeasterly line of
said Lot to the most Southerly corner of the property conveyed to Edward
U. Methever, et ux., by Deed recorded March 22, 1888 in Book Z of Deeds,
Page 625, records of said County; thence North 51�'-, West 21.25 chains along
the Southwesterly line of the property so conveyed to the most Westerly
corner thereof; thence South 43'- West 5. chains, more or less, to the
Southwesterly line of said Lot 8; thence South 532° East 21,27 chains to
the point of beginning. `.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission feels that the public interest and general
welfare does not require such an amendment, and
WHEREAS, the Commission report including list of persons who testified at the
Public Hearing, summary of fact and findings and copies of any maps pertinent to the
proposal are attached and hereby declared to be part of said Resolution,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that said Planning Commission hereby recommends
denial of the amendment as applied for. �
On motion of Commissioner St. Denis, seconded by Commissioner Kane, and by
the fo:llowing roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Commissioners Kane, St. Denis, Strother and Moss
NOES; None
ABSENT: Commissioners Combe, McMillen and Porter
the foregoing Resolution was adopted this 3rd day of June, 1970.
