RESOLUTION N0. 66-11 G
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE ADOPTING THE LAND USE
ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Arroyo Grande has pre-
pared a general plan report together with a general plan map entitled the
"Land Use Element of the General Plan" and did all things legally and tech-
nically required by law to develop a report and map adequate in scope and
authority to serve the purposes of a general plan; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 65501 et seq, the�`City
Planning Commission gave required notice and did hold a public hearing on
January 18th, 1966, for the purpose of considering the adoption of the Land
Use Element of the General Plan report and map, and at which public hearing
the Land Use Element and report and map were displayed, explained and re-
ported upon; and
WHEREAS, said Land Use Element of the General Plan report nnd map there-
of are necessary for sound future community development, the preservation of
community vnlues, and the promotion of the general health, safety; convenience
and welfare of the citizens of the City of Arroyo Grande; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Arroyo Grande has a
responsibility to plan for the desireable future growth and development of
the City of Arroyo Grande;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS F'OLLOWS:
Section 1. The Planning Commission of the City of Arroyo Grande does
hereby find and determine that the public interest, convenience.and necessity

adopted. �
Section 2, The Planning Commission of the City of Arroyo Grande does
hereby adopt the Land Use Element of the General Plan together with the maps
and descriptive material.
Section 3. The Planning Commission Chairman is authorized and directed
to certify this approval upon the Land Use Element of the General Plan and
forward to the City Council for consideration.
On motion of Commissioner Schultz, seconded by Commissioner Mize, and
on the following roll call vote, to-wit:
AYES: Commissioners Dexter, Evans, Mize, Schultz, Talley and
Chairman Strother.
NOES: C'ommissioner McMillen
RBSENT: None
the foregoing resolution was adopted this 18th day of January, 1966.
