RESOWTION NO, 1004
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRAf;m,
CALIFORNIA, RELATING TO THE OFFICIAL COPIES OF PLANS OF
BUILDINGS FOR WHICH BUILDING PERMITS ARE ISSUED.
WHEREAS, effective March 4, 1972" the State of California ..dd"d Ch"pt, 10
(commencing with Section 19850) to Part 3, Division 13 of the He?1,th d,nd Saf"
Code, and
WHEREAS, Section 19850 of the Health and Safety Code provi<!",,; thi B';],ildLnl::!,
Department of every City or County shall maintain an official copy, ,",de], ""'5' b,
microfilm or other type of photographic copy, of the plans of eve!""': bcUding,
during the life of such bUilding, for which such department issued a perif"i r" "nd
WHEREAS, Section 19852 of the Health and Safety Code provide" tha t r:h(
governing body of a City or County may prescribe such fees as will pay tic
expenses incurred by the Building Department of such City or County in m~'ntnnj,n5
the official copy of the plans of buildings for which it has iss"zd'l bur [ding
permit;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of t~J" City d An-o',"
Grande does hereby resolve as follows:
1. Effective March 4, 1972, the Building Department is charg,'" witt'. t:I1,
responsibility of complying with the provisions of the Heal tb "nC
Safety Code, Section 19850, and

Permit shall be as follows:

Sheet larger than 8~" x 11" .50 per sheet

Exceptions From Section 19850:
A. Single or multiple dwellings including duplexes, and not l'Iore th."n
two (2) stories in height.
B, Garages and other structures appurtenant to buildings undm A abov, .
C, Farm or ranch buildings.
D. Anyone-story building where the span between bearing walls do,- not
exceed 25 feet, This exemption does not apply to a st8,1 fram,,-
concrete or concrete masonry building.
E, Any building containing a bank, other financial institution, )1'
public utility.
