A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
ARROYO GRANDE ADOPTING A RESOLUTION INITIATING
DEVELOPMENT CODE AMENDMENT 03-004 FOR THE
CONSIDERATION OF PUBLIC FACILITIES (P.F.) PREZONING OF ALL
PROPERTIES WITHIN THE PROPOSED SAINT JOHN'S ANNEXATION
TO THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE
WHEREAS, The adopted General Plan Update included the properties south of the
existing City limits adjoining Los Berros Road and Valley Road within the Urban Reserve
Line and designated Community Facilities and Conservation/Open Space, and
WHEREAS, The Local Agency Formation Commission recently adopted Sphere of
Influence (SOI) amendments to include the subject area within the SOI of The City of
Arroyo Grande, enabling consideration of annexation to the City, and
WHEREAS, the only private property owner, St. John's Lutheran Church, within the
potential annexation area has requested consideration by the City and Local Agency
Formation Commission, and said application requires prezoning approval by the City, and
WHEREAS, consistency with the 2001 General Plan would require that the properties
within the proposed annexation should be prezoned Public Facilities, PF zoning district.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission of the City of
Arroyo Grande does hereby initiate Development Code Amendment Proposal No. 03-
00_ for the consideration of Public Facilities, PF, prezoning of all properties within the
proposed Saint John's Annexation to the City of Arroyo Grande.
On motion by Commissioner Keen, seconded by Commissioner Brown, and by the
following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Commissioners Keen, Brown, Arnold and Chair Guthrie
NOES: None
ABSENT: Commissioner Fowler
the foregoing Resolution was adopted this 6th day of May 2003.
