A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE
DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO CALL A SPECIAL ANNEXATION FLECTION,
AND FIXING A TIME AND PLACE FOR PROTESTS BY PROPERTY OWNERS.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE:
1. That it is the intention of the City Council of the City of
Arroyo Grande to call a special election to be held in certain in-
habited territory contiguous to said City, proposed to be annexed
thereto, and also in the City of Arroyo Grande itself, for the pur-
pose of submitting to the qualified electors residing in said territory
and in the City of Arroyo Grande the question whether or not said terri-
tory shall be annexed to the City of Arroyo Grande, and the property in
the territory subjected to taxation after annexation equally with
property within the City of Arroyo Grande.
Said territory is described as follows:

2. That said territory hereby is designated and identified as
"FAIR OAKS-ARROYO GRANDE ANNEXATION". )..
3. Notice is hereby given that on the 13th day of March, 1962,
at the hour of 8.15 P.M. in the Counci 1 Chambers of the City Hall of
the City of Arroyo Grande, in Arroyo Grande, California, any person
owning real property within said territory so proposed to be annexed
and having any objection to the proposed annexation may appear before
said City Council and show cause why such territory should not be
annexed. Such protest must be i~ writing and shall state the name or
names of the owner or owners of the property affected by such annexation
and the location and area of such property in genera 1 terms. If it be
found that protest is not made by public and private owners equal to one-
half of the value of the territory further proceedings shall be taken
in accordance with the law for holding of such special election.
4. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
resolution and cause the same to be published in the Arroyo Grande
Herald Recorder once a week for the two weeks prior to the hearing.
