IN THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, RESOLUTION
DECLARING RESULT OF ELECTION.
WHEREAS, a General Municipal election was held in the City of Arroyo Grande
on Tuesday, April 13, 1954 as required by law.
AND WHEREAS, it appears that uotic~of said election was duly and legally
given, that voting precincts were properly established, that election officers
were appointed and election supplies furnished, and that in all respects said
election was held and conducted and the votes cast thereat received and canvassed
and the returns thereof made and declared in time, ftsJm and manner as required by
law of sixth caass cities.
AND WHEREAS, the Council of said City met at the Council Chambers thereat on
Tuesday the 20th day of April, 1954 to canvass the returns of said election, and
install the newly elected officers, and having canvaslied,said returns, the
Council finds that the number of votes cast, the names of the persons voted for
and other matters required by law, to be as hereinafter stated, now therefore
Jj BE IT RESOLVED, as follows: That said General Municipal Election was held,
and conducted in the City of Arroyo Grande on Tuesday the 13th day of April, 1954,
in time, form and manner as required by law, that there was one voting precinct
established for the purpose of holding said election consisting of a consolidation
of the regular election precencts established for the holding of General State and
County elections as follows: (Consolidated Precinct A) comprising State and
County prec;ncts Number One, Two, Three, Four and Five, and the voting place there-
of was the City Hall. ~
That the whole number of votes cast in said City was 3'8 that the names of
the persons voted for, the office1s for which they were voted, the number of the
votes given in each precinct to each of said persons together with the whole
number of votes which they received in the entire City are as follows:

RESOLVED THEREFORE, that at said General Municipal Election,
Maurice (Maury) Brennan was elected Councilman of the City of Arroyo Grande for
the full term of four years.
Also that Jack O. Pence was elected Councilman of said City 60r the full term of
four years.
The City Clerk shall immediately make and deliver to each of such persons
elected, a certificate of election, signed by him and duly authenticated; he
shall also impose the constitutional oath of office and have them subscribe
thereto, whereupon they shall be inducted into the respective offices to which
they have been elected.
On motion of Councilman ~ and seconded by Council-
