OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRAND)!:, COUNTY
OF SAN LUIS OBISPO, RELATIVE TO THE .ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN
UNINHABITED TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE.
WHEREASt the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande, County
of San Luis Obispo, State of Californiat has received requests from
persons owning property lying within the territorial limits of the
hereinafter described pacel of property for annexation of said pro-
perty to the City of Arroyo Grande; and
WHEREAS, it appears desirable to the said City Council of the
City of Arroyo Grande, to annex the hereinafter described parcel of I

real property to the City of Arroyo Grandet said property being con- I

tiguous to said City; and i

WHEREASt the said property is uninhabited property within the
meaning of Section 5162 of the General Laws of the State of California;
and
WHEREASt the said City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande de- i
sires to proceed with the matter of annexation on its own motion as
provided in Section 5162 of the General Laws of the State of
California.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City I
of Arroyo Grande, County of San Luis ObispOt State of California, that
the hereinafter described real property be annexed to the City of
Arroyo Grande, and that all necessary steps be taken to consummate
this annexation.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the hereinafter described property
shall be designated as follows, to-wit: I

Tract No. '76- , said parcel of property being contiguous I
to the present City Limits of the City of Arroyo Grande. i

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that on the 6th day of August, 1952, at
the hour of 8:00 o'clock P.M., at the Council Chambers of the City
Council of the City of Arroyo Gr~nde, in the City Rallt in the City -
of Arroyo Grande, County of San Luis Obispo, State of Californiat a

hearing will be held, at which time owners of property lying
within the limits of the hereinafter described parcel of property,
and any others who may be interested, may appear and show cause, if
any they have, why the hereinafter described parcel of real property,
to_wit: Tract No. 7~- should not be annexed to the City of
Arroyo Grande, County of San Luis Obispo, State of California. Pro-
, tests may be made in writing prior to the hearing or in writing or
orally at the time and place of hearing.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution shall
be published at least once a week for two, (2) successive weeks be_
fore the hearing on the matter of the annexation hereinabove men-
tioned. Publioation of said Resolution shall be in the Herald
Reoorder, a weekly newspaper published and ciroulated in the City of
Arroyo Grande, County of San Luis Obispo, State of California.
The property proposed to be annexed to the said City of Arroyo
Grande, and designated as Traot No. 7t;- , is described as fol-
lows, to-wit:
All that portion of Blooks 1, 2, 11 and 12 and of Huber and Temple
Streets in Beokett's Addition to the Town of Oceano, in the County
of San Luis Obispo, State of California, according to the map of
said Addition filed on February 4, 1908, described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the East line of said Beckett's Addition
to the Town of Oceano, distant thereon South 0 degrees 08' East,
50 feet from the Northeast corner of said Beckett's Addition, said
point being on the South line of a road conveyed by Francisco G.
Xavie1 to the County of San Luis Obispo, by deed dated September
9, 1925, and recorded in Book 6, at page 104 of Official Reoords,
and also being on the West line of Arroyo Grande Avenue as shown on
said map and also known as Halcyon Road; thence along said East
line of Beckett's Addition South 0 degrees 08' East, 384.25 feet;
thence South 89 degrees 52' West, 733.5 feet to a point on the East
line of the Tract of land conveyed by said Francisco G. Xavie1 to
Joseph B. Barlow and Mollie Barlow, his wife, by deed dated July
18, 1929, and recorded in Book 70, "at page 224 of Official Records;
thence North 0 degrees 08' West along the East line of said tract
of land, 385.15 feet to the South line of the Road so conveyed by
Francisco G. Xaviel as aforesaid; thence North 89 degrees,52' East
along the South line of said road, 733.5 feet to the point of be-
ginning.
On motion of Councilman Conrad , seconded by Councilman
