RESOIDTION NO. 201
WHEREJ\S, there is presently great confus.iqn existing in
the City or Arroyo Grande and the outlying areas thereof, because
of the fact t?at there are great numbers of streets which carry the
same or similar names, which said similarity causes it to be diITi-
cult to give directions and makes diITicult the delivery o~ mail, and
WHERE<\S, it appears desirable to change the names of the
"
streets hereinafter designated so as to eliminate such confusion.
l-row THmEFORE BE IT REBOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Arroyo Grande that the following streets have their names 1IIit.

charged as hereinafter set forth,to-wit: .'
Walnut Avenue in Jones Tract to be changed to California Ave.
Walnut Averoe in the vtestern Addition to be changed to
Bennett Avenue.
Oak street along Mineau-LQpmis Addition to be changed to
Fair Oaks Averoe.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a public hearing shall be held
in connection with the Council's. intention to make such changes, which
said hearing shall be held in the chambers of the said City Council
in the City Hall in the City of. Arroyo Grande, County of San Luis
Obispo, state of Cel ifornia on the 2nd day of: March, 1949, at the
hour of 7:30 o'clock P.M., at which time and place anyone interested
may appear and be heard either for, against or in modification of
the Council's proposed action.
J3E IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk of the City of
Arroyo Grande be and'she is hereby directed to give notice of the
time, place and nature of said hearing by publication of a notice
thereof in the Arroyo Grande Herald Recorder at least ten days in
advance thereof.
On Motion of Councilman Schnyder, seconded by Councilman
Dammann, and on the following roll call vote:
AYES: Councilmen Dixson, schnyder, Clark, Waiters and
Dammann
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
