ORDINANCE NO. 190
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE ACCEPTING
THE REQUIREMENTS OF SECTION 13522 OF THE PENAL CQDE
RElATING TO TRAINING OF lAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF ARROYO GRANDE
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande
declares that it desires to qualify to receive aid from the State of
California under the provisions of Chapter 1 of Title 4, Part 4 of the
California Penal Code.
Section 2. Pursuant to Section 13522 of said Chapter 1,
the City of Arroyo Grande while receiving aid from the State of
California pursuant to said Chapter 1 will adhere to the standards fOE!
recruitment and training established by the California Commission on
Peace Officer Standa.rds and Training.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in effect thirty (30)
days after its passage and within fifteen (15) days thereafter shall
be published once in the Arroyo Grande Herald Recorder, a newspaper
printed, published and circulated in the City of Arroyo Grande, together
with the names of the Councilmen voting for and against the same.
On motion of Councilman Weed , seconded by Council-
man McMillen , and on the following roll call vote, to-wit:
AYES: Councilmen McMillen. Woed and Mayor Burt
NOES: None
ABSENT: Councilmen McNeil and Jacobs
the foregoing Ordinance was adopted this lltlday of February , 1964.
