STUDY SESSION ON RANCHO GRANDE ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT (EIR)
Planning Director Castro reviewed with the Council the Environmental Impact
Report for the proposed Rancho Grande Planned Development. General discussion of
the report was held, with no action taken by the Council.

ADJOURNMENT
On motion of Councilman de Leon, seconded by Councilman Gallagher and
unanimously carried, the meeting adjourned at 9,05 P.M.

The City Council met in regular session with Mayor Mark Millis presiding.
Upon roll call, Council Members Matthew Gallagher, Jr., Hugh Pope, Jr., Gabe de
Leon and B"Ann Smith reported present.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE AND INVOCATION
Mayor Millis led the Pledge of Allegiance to our Flag. Thereafter, Pastor
Mike Deming, of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Arroyo Grande, delivered the
invocati.on~
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
On motion of Councilman Gallagher, seconded by Councilman de Leon and
unanimously carried, the minutes for the regular meeting of May 23, 1978 and
re'gular adjourned meetings of May 20th, 24th, 25th, 30th and June 7, 1978, were
approved as prepared.
APPROVAL OF WARRANTS
On motion of Councilman de Leon, seconded by Councilman Gallagher and
unanimously carried, Demand Warrants No. 8619 through No. 8773 and No. P504
through No. P510, in the total amount of $235,363.99; and Payroll Warrants
No. 11592 through No. 11704, in the total amount of $42,630.21, were approved
and ordered paid.
APPROVAL OF CONSENT AGENDA ITEMS
On motion of Councilman de Leon, seconded by Councilman Gallagher and
unanimously carried, the following items under the Consent Agenda were approved
as recommended by City Administrator Butch:

A-1. Receipt of the 1978 Summer Recreation Schedule. RECOMMEND RECEIPT AND FILED.
2. Request of the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls, Arroyo Grande
Assembly No. 100, for a Fee Exempt License to Sell Fireworks from June 28 through
July 6, 1978, at 1650 Grand Avenue. RECOMMEND APPROVAL AND ISSUANCE OF' A FEE
EXEMPT LICENSE.
3. Request of the American Legion, Arroyo Grande Post 136, for a Fee Exempt
License to Sell Fireworks for the Fourth of July--Two Different Locations in
City of Arroyo Grande. RECOMMEND APPROVAL AND ISSUANCE OF A FEE EXEMPT LICENSE.
4. Request of Pack 13 of Arroyo Grande, for a Fee Exempt License to Sell
Fireworks from July 1 through July 4, 1978, at 601 Grand Avenue. RECOMMEND
APPROVAL AND ISSUANCE OF A FEE EXEMPT LICENSE.
5. Notice of a Public Hearing on a Proposal to Annex Territory to Arroyo
Grande Resource Conservation District--Includes Cities of Grover CitYi Pismo
Beach, Morro Bay, and San Luis Obispo. Hearing Set for June 15, 1978, at
9:00 A.M. RECOMMEND THAT THE NOTICE BE RECEIVED AND FILED.
