SUBJECT: CONSIDERATION OF CHANGES TO APPOINTMENT OF COUNCIL
MEMBERS TO THE ZONE 3 WATER ADVISORY BOARD

RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended the City Council approve the appointment of Council Member Ray to
the Zone 3 Water Advisory Board and Council Member Costello as the Alternate.
IMPACT ON FINANCIAL AND PERSONNEL RESOURCES:
'There is no fiscal impact from this action.
BACKGROUND:
After each election year, the City Council makes appointments to the regional and local
boards, commissions, and committees that have Council representation. Council Member
Costello is currently appointed to be the City's representative on the Zone 3 Water
Advisory Board. Council Member Ray is the appointed alternate.
ANALYSIS OF ISSUES:
Council Member Costello has requested to switch positions with Council Member Ray on
the Zone 3 Water Advisory Board. Council Member Ray has agreed. If approved by the
City Council, Council Member Ray would then become the primary Board Member.
Council Member Costello would become the Alternate.
ALTERNATIVES:
The following alternatives are provided for the Council's consideration: - Approve the appointment changes;
- Appoint other representatives;
- Do not change appointments at this time;
- Provide direction to staff.
