RESOLUTION NO. 3078
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ARROYO RATIFYING AND ENDORSING THE ACTION
OF THE SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY INTEGRATED WASTE
MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY TO ESTABLISH SAID AUTHORITY
AS THE SOLID WASTE LOCAL TASK FORCEt AND APPOINTMENT OF
BOARD MEMBERS AS SOLID WASTE LOCAL TASK FORCE REPRESENTATIVES
WHEREAS, Public Resources Code section 40950 provides for
the establishment of a Solid Waste Task Force; and '--
WHEREAS, San Luis Obispo county notified the California
Integrated Waste Management Board on March 28, 1990, of the
establishment of a Solid Waste Local Task Force; and
WHEREAS, the Joint Powers Agreement establishing the San
Luis Obispo County Integrated Waste Management Authority provides
for a regional agency pursuant to Public Resources Code 40973;
and
WHEREAS, the Integrated Waste Management Authority voted on
May 10, 1995, to assume the role of the Local Task Force for San
Luis Obispo county; and
WHEREAS, the Integrated Waste Management Authority voted on
May 10, 1995, to appoint the Integrated Waste Management
Authority Board Members as the Solid Waste Local Task Force
representatives.
NOW, THEREFORE, the city of Arroyo Grande hereby ratifies
and endorses the action taken by the Integrated Waste Management
Authority on May 10, 1995, of assuming the role of the Solid
waste Local Task Force and appointing the Integrated Waste
Management Authority Board Members to be the Solid Waste Local
Task Force representatives.
On motion of Council Member Souza , seconded by
council Member Fuller , and on the following roll call vote,
to wit:
AYES: Council Member Souza, Fuller, Brandy, Lady and Mayor Dougall
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted this 13th day of
June, 1995.
