RESOLUTION NO. 3051
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE
DESIGNATING A LANDMARK TREE 94-65
WHEREAS, Sec. 10-3.06 of the Municipal Code of the city of Arroyo
Grande provides for the preservation and protection of certain trees in
order to produce a more desireable, pleasing and beautiful community and to
maintain and enhance community historic, cultural and property values, as
well as to promote the public health, safety, comfort, and welfare; and ,
WHEREAS, this tree at 1048 Fair Oaks, in the city of Arroyo Grande,
Parcel Number 077-192-073, and as located and identified on the map
attached to this resolution, has been examined by the Parks and Recreation
Director-of the City of Arroyo Grande and has been found to be a Coastal
Live Oak and in good condition;

WHUEAS, this tree, due to its age, species, configuration, and
historical value meets criteria for Landmark Tree de~ignation as determined
by the Parks and Recreation Director and Parks and Recreation Commission;
and
WHEREAS, the P~rks and Recreation Commission of the city of Arroyo
Grande recommends to the city council that this tree should be preserved and
protected and designated as a Landmark Tree.
NOW THEREFORE, the city council of the city of Arroyo Grande hereby
designates this tree as a Landmark Tree and directs that it shall be
monumented as Landmark Tree Number 94-'65; and
FURTBERHORE, this tree shall be protected, preserved and maintained by
the tree owner and subsequent tree owners and such tree shall not be removed
or destroyed by any party unless otherwise authorized by Sec. 10-3.06 of the
Municipal Code of the City of Arroyo Grande.
On motion of Council Member Souza , seconded by
Council Member Burke , and on the following roll call vote, to
wit:
AYES: Council Members Souza, Burke, Lady and Mayor Gallagher
NOES: None
ABSENT: Council Member Brandy
the foregoing Resolution was passed the23rdday of
August, 1994.
