A RESOLUTION OF TIlE CITY COUNCIL OF TilE
CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE RECOGNIZING
DISPATCHER LINDA HOLT AS THE
1994 DISPATCHER OF THE YEAR
WIIEREAS, the Arroyo Grande Police Department annually selects a member of its rorCf~ !/I
be recognized as the Dispatcher of the Year; and
WHEREAS, no higher honor can be received than the honor of one's peers within the Police
Profession for distinguished service; and
WHEREAS, the Arroyo Grande Dispatcher of the Year Award for 1994 has been bestowed uponJ
Dispatcher Linda Holt, as the Dispatcher most distinguished within the Arroyo Grande Polin?~'
Department because of her outstanding service to the community, her exemplary professionali!'m,
and her service and accomplishments; and
WHEREAS, Dispatcher Holt has consistently received the praise and commendation!' from
not only her peers, but the community at large, as well as during her 11 ~ years with the DepartlT1f'nt;
and
WHEREAS, Dispatcher Holt has continually involved herself in efforts to improve departnH"nl
operations such as volunteering to handle scheduling for dispatch and to take on any extra dill in.5
that arise and by consistently demonstrating integrity, hard work and availability to help mnrnb{'rs
of the Department or the community in any way possible.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande, in
its regular session assembled this 23rd day of August, 1994, that it hereby extends to Dispatchf'r
Holt its highest commendation for the exceptional quality of her work and for the inspiring stature
of her demeanor.
On motion of Council Member Burke , seconded by Council Member Souza ,
and on t,he following roll call vote, to wit:
