MINUTES
SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL
TUESDAY, JULY 18, 1989
COUNCIL CHAMBERS, 215 EAST BRANCH STREET
ARROYO GRANDE, CALIFORNIA
The City Council met at 6:00 P.M., with Mayor M~rk M. Millis
presiding. Also present were Council Members A. K. "Pete" Dougall,
Gene Moots, Doris Olsen and B'Ann smith.
Mayor Millis said the first order of business would be to
adjourn to a closed session on personnel, and the Council went into
closed session at 6:02 P.M.
The Council reconvened at 6:10 P.M. City Manager Chris
Christiansen said the Council had before it resolutions regarding
salaries for the City's three employee groups. The Council then
considered the resolutions.
It was moved by Smith/Olsen (5-0-0, Smith, Olsen, Dougall,
Moots and Millis voting aye) to approve Resolution No. 2327
Adopting a Memorandum of Understanding with the Arroyo Grande
Police Officers Association, Which contains a position
Classification and Salary Range and Step Schedules for 1989-90 and
1990-91, and Repealing Resolution No. 1963.
It was moved by Olsen/Dougall (5-0-0, Olsen, Dougall, Smith,
Moots and Millis voting aye) to approve Resolution No. 2328
Amending Resolution No. 2324, Which Adopted a Memorandum of
Understanding Between the City and the S.E.I.U. Group, for the
Years 1989-90 and 1990-91.
It was moved by Smith/Moots (5-0-0, smith, Moots, Dougall,
Olsen and Millis voting aye) to approve Resolution No. 2329
Amending Resolutions 2322 and 2323, Which Adopted Salaries and
Benefits for Management, Mid-Management, Confidential, Part-Time,
Fire Volunteers, and Police Reserves, for the Years 1989-90 and
1990-91.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:14 P.M.
