RESOLUTION NO. 3026
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ARROYO GRANDE GRANTING A CERTIFICATE OF
PUBLIC CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY TO
JAY FREEMAN AND REUBEN TEMPLE, OPERATORS,
FIVE CITIES YELLOW CAB, FOR THE OPERATION OF A
TAXICAB SERVICE WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS
WHEREAS, Jay Freeman and Reuben Temple, operators of Five
i cities Yell~w Cab, 101 West Branch street, Arroyo Grande,

I California, have applied for a certificate of Public Convenience
----- and Necessity to operate a taxicab service in the city of Arroyo
Grande; and
WHEREAS, said taxicab service will include operation of the
Senior citizen Taxicab Subsidy program in the city of Arroyo
Grande; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing to consider the taxicab service
was duly noticed and held on April 26, 1994; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the public convenience
and necessity require the proposed taxi service.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the city Council of the
city of Arroyo Grande hereby grants and bestows upon Jay Freeman
and Reuben Temple, operators of Five cities Yellow Cab, a
certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity, effective upon
full and total compliance with the conditions and requirements of
Title 5, Chapter 10 of the Arroyo Grande Municipal Code.
On motion of Council Member Souza , seconded by
Council Member Burke , and on the following roll call
vote, to wit:
AYES:Council Members Souza, Burke, Lady, Brandy and Mayor Gallagher

ABSENT: None
the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted this 26th day of
April, 1994.
