RESOLUTION 3008
RESOLUTION OF TI-IE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE
ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMITS ON VARIOUS CITY STREETS
Whereas, the City has conducted traffic speed surveys on various City streets in accordance with the
requirements of the California Vehicle Code; and
Whereas, the Director of Public Works has analyzed said surveys, made appropriate adjustments, and made
recommendations for the establishment of speed limits on said streets in accordance with the requirements
of the California Vehicle Code; and
Whereas. radar enforcement of any speed limit other than those expressly established by State law requires
that such be based upon an engineering and traffic speed survey as has been conducted; and
Whereas, the Police Chief supports the recommendation of the Director of Public Works; and
Whereas, the Traffic Commission on September 20 approved support of the recommendation of the
Director of Public Works.

Now, therefore, be it resolved that the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande hereby establishes speed
limits on various City streets as provided below:
Ash Street (west of Elm) 35 mph
Brisco Road 35 mph
Corbett Canyon 45 mph
East Cherry Avenue 35 mph
EI Camino Real (Oak Park -- Brisco) 45 mph
Elm Street 35 mph
Fair Oaks Avenue (Halcyon -- Valley) 40 mph
Fair Oaks Avenue (Valley -- Traffic Way) 35 mph
Farroll Avenue 35 mph
Grand Avenue 35 mph
Halcyon Road (north of Grand) 35 mph
Halcyon Road (south of Grand) 40 mph
Huasna Road 45 mph
James Way (except as noted) 40 mph
James Way (Rancho Parkway -- Stevenson) 45 mph
James Way (southeastbound Colina to Tally 1-10) 3S mph
Oak Park Boulevard 40 mph
Pike (west of Elm) 35 mph
Pike (east of Elm) 40 mph
Tally Ho Road 30 mph
Traffic Way 35 mph
Valley Road 40 mph
West Branch Street 40 mph
On motion of Council Member Souza , seconded by Council Member Brandy
and on the following roll call vote, to wit:
