RESOLUTION NO. 2985
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE DECLARING
AS SURPLUS AND REQUESTING AUTHORIZATION
TO SELL A TEN-FOOT BAKER WINDMILL
WHEREAS, the city of Arroyo Grande has a 1938 ten-foot Baker
windmill, which has been stored at the corporation yard for 20
years; and
WHEREAS, the above noted item has been classified as surplus
property; and
WHEREAS, the windmill's value has been assessed at between
$500.00 and $900.001 and
WHEREAS, it has been proposed that the windmill be sold to the
highest bidder over $500.00, and the proceeds be used to
rehabilitate a windmill located in the newly established James way
Oak woodland and wildlife Habitat.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the city of Arroyo Grande
does declare as surplus and authorizes the sale of the ten-foot
Baker Windmill, with proceeds from the sale being used to
rehabilitate the windmill located at the James Way Oak Woodland and
Wildlife Habitat.
