RESOLUTION NO. 2971
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE DECLARING
SURPLUS POLICE PROPERTY AND DONATING 31
BICYCLES TO THE "SANTA COP" PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the City of Arroyo Grande has certain property
consisting of 31 bicycles that have been turned in to the Police
Department as found items, or for other reasons, and not claimed by
the owners; and
~ WHEREAS, the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Department is
conducting a program to rehabilitate bicycles and donate them to
needy ,children, and said bicycles will be distributed through the
Arroyo Grande Police Department's "Santa Cop" program. -
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the city of Arroyo Grande
does declare as surplus, unclaimed property the bicycles listed on
Attachment "A," and that the bicycles be donated to the San Luis
Obispo County Sheriff's Department for rehabilitation and
distribution through the Arroyo Grande Police Department "Santa
cop" program.
On motion of Council Member Moots , seconded by
Council Member Brandy , and on the following roll call
vote, to wit:
AYES: Counci 1 Members Moots, Brandy, Souza, Burke and Mayor Gallagher
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
the foregoing Resolution was passed and ~d this 23rd of
February, 1993.
