DBSIGNATING A LANDMARX TREB 91-63 I
WllBREAS, Sec. 10-3.06 of the Municipal Code of the city of Arroyo Grande provides for
the preservation and protection of certain trees in order to produce a more desireable,
pleasinq and beautiful community and to maintain and enhance community historic, cultural
and property values, as well as to promote the public health, safety, c_fort, and welfare I
and
WllBREAS, this tree at 320 Short street, in the city of Arroyo orande, Parcel Number I
007-542-019 and aa located and identified on the map attached to this resolution, has been
examined by the parks and Recreation Director of the City of ArroyO Grande and have been
found to be a Incense Cedar, and I

\i WHEREAS, this tree, due to its aqe, species, confiquration, and historical value
meets criteria for Landmark Tree desiqnation as determined by the parks and Recreation
Director and parks and Recreation commission I and
WHBRBAS, the Parks and Recreation commission of the City of Arroyo Grande recommends
to the city Council that this tree should be preserved and protected and designated as a
i Landmark Tree.

NOW TJBREFORE, the City council of the city of Arroyo Grande hereby designates this
tree as a Landmark Tree and directs that it shall be monumented as Landmark Tree Number 91-
631 and
PVRTHERKORB, this tree shall be protected, preserved and maintained by the tree owner
i and subsequent tree owners and such tree shall not be removed or destroyed by any party
, unless otherwise authorized by Sec. 10-3.06 of the Municipal Code of the City of Arroyo
Grande.
