A RESOLUTION OF ~BS CITY COUNCIL
OF ~BS CITY OF ARROYO GRANDS
DSSIGNA~ING A LAHDMARIt ~RES 91-62 ,

WHEREAS, Sec. 10-3.06 of the Municipal Code of the City of Arroyo Grande providee for
I
the preservation and protection of certain trees in order to produce a more de.ireab1e, !
pleasing and beautiful community and to maintain and enhance community hi.toric, cultural I
and property values, as well as to promote the public health, safety, comfort, and welfare;
and I
WBEREAS, this tree at 320 Short Street, in the City of Arroyo Grande, Parcel Number I
007-542-019 and as located and identified on the map attached to this resolution, has been I
examined by the Parks and Recreation Director of the City of Arroyo Grande and have been
found to be a Redwood, and; I

WHEREAS, this tree, due to its age, .pecies, configuration, and historical value
meets criteria for Landmark Tree designation as determined by the Parke and Recreation
Director and Parks and Recreation Commission; and
KBEREAS, the Parks and Recreation commission of the City of Arroyo Grande recommends
to the City Council that this tree should be preserved and protected and desivnated as a
Landmark Tree.
NOW UERBFORE, the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande hereby de.ignates this
tree as a La{ldmark Tree and directs that it shall be monumented as Landmark Tree Number 91-
62; and
FURrBBRMORB, this tree shall be protected, preserved and maintained by the tree owner
and subsequent tree owners and such tree shall not be removed or destroyed by any party
unless otherwise authorized by Sec. 10-3.06 of the Municipal Code of the City of Arroyo
Grande.
