RESOLUTION NO. 2940
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE REQUESTING AUTHORIZATION
TO CLOSE WEST BRANCH STREET FOR A PARADE
WHEREAS, the I.D.E.S. Council No. 28 has requested closure of
a portions of West Branch Street and Vernon Avenue in the City of
Arroyo Grande, state of California, for the period of 11:30 A.M. to
12:30 P.M. Sunday, July 5, 1992; and
WHEREAS, the reason for the street closure will be for the
---' purposes of holding a parade in honor of the annual celebration of
the Holy Ghost.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE
HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
1. That West Branch Street will be closed between 200 West
Branch (Bank of America parking lot) and Vernon Avenue, and Vernon
Avenue will be closed between West Branch and 211 Vernon (Community
Center) for the period of 11:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. Sunday, July 5,
1992.
2. That the Arroyo Grande police Department will control
traffic around the street closures and its officers will be
stationed to give instructions and directions to motorists on
detouring around the street closures.
On motion of council Member Dougall , seconded by
Council Member Smith , and on the following roll call
vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Dougall, Smith, Gallagher and Mayor Pro Tern Iobots
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
- the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted this 23rd day of
June, 1992.
