RESOLUTION NO. 3382
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ARROYO GRANDE ESTABLISHING SALARY RANGES FOR THE
POSITIONS OF (FIRE) CAPT AIN,_ CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER,
MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT, COMPUTER SUPPORT TECHNICIAN,
ENGINEERING ASSISTANT, CHILD CARE COORDINATOR, AND
MODIFYING THE JOB TITLE OF THE INSPECTOR/CODE
ENFORCEMENT OFFICER
WHEREAS, the City Council is authorized by law to establish appointive positions and
compensation levels for said positions as it deems necessary to effectively operate
municipal services; and
WHEREAS, the City Council established the appointive positions of (Fire) Captain,
Code Enforcement Officer, Management Assistant, Computer Support Technician,
Engineering Assistant, and Child Care Coordinator by adoption of Resolution No. 3371
on June 10, 1999; and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it to be in the best interest of the City of Arroyo
Grande to establish salary ranges for the positions of (Fire) Captain, Code
Enforcement Officer, Management Assistant, Computer Support Technician, Child.
Care Coordinator, and modifying the job title of the Inspector/Code Enforcement Officer
position. -

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVeD by the City Council of the City of Arroyo
Grande as follows:
1. There is hereby established a salary range of $3,694 - $4,491 monthly (Range
41-General Unit) for the position of (Fire) Captain.
2. There is hereby established a salary range of $2,615 - $3,178 monthly (Range
27-General Unit) for the position of Code Enforcement Officer.

3. There is- hereby established a salary range of $3,003 - $3,650 monthly (Range
33-Management) for the position of Management Assistant.
4. There is hereby established a salary range of $3,032 - $3,686 monthly (Range
33-General Unit) for the position of Computer Support Technician.
5. There is hereby established a salary range of $2,146 - $2,608 monthly (Range
19-General Unit) for the position of Child Care Coordinator.
6. There is hereby established a salary range of $2,748 - $3,339 monthly (Range
29-General Unit) for the position of Engineering Assistant.

7. The current position title of "Inspector/Code Enforcement Officer" shall be
changed to "Public Works Inspector."
On motion of Council Member Runels, seconded by Council Member Ferrara, and on
the following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Runels, Ferrara, Tolley, Dickens, and Mayor Lady
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted this 27th day of July, 1999.
