RESOLUTION NO. 2894
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ARROYO GRANDE APPROVING THE 1991-1992 ANNUAL
LOCAL TRANSPORTATION FUND CLAIMS TO THE
SAN LUIS OBISPO AREA COORDINATING COUNCIL
WHEREAS. revenues derived from 1/4-cent of the 7.25 percent retail sales
tax collected statewide are apportioned to local governments to be used for
transportation purposes, pursuant to the Transportation Development Act of 1971;
and
WHEREAS. the City of Arroyo Grande's apportionment of Local Transportation
Funds (L TF) for FY 1991-1992 is $319,055; and -
WHEREAS. in addition, the City of Arroyo Grande's apportionment of State
Transportation Assistance (ST AJ Funds is $26,704; and
WHEREAS, the City intends to use its L TF and ST A revenues for operational
expenses associated with the SCAT System, the Regional Handicapped Transit System,
the SLO-SC AT Link System, the seniors taxi program, bike pathway projects, and
for streets and roads; and
WHEREAS. the City of Arroyo Grande hereby states a preference for using
additional L TF, if such funds become available, for streets and roads; provided,
however, that the City reserves the right to file an amended claim.
NOW. THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Arroyo Grande City
Council approves the City's LTF and STA claims for Fiscal Year 1991-1992, and
directs staff to proceed with submittal of the claim documents.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande,
in accordance with Chapter 1400, Statutes 1971 and applicable rules and regulations,
approves the attached 1991-1992 Annual Transportation Claim, and authorizes Its
submittal, along with other documentation required, to the San Luis Obispo Area
Coordinating Council.
On motion by Council Member Smith , seconded by Council Member
Dougall , and by the following roll call vote, to wit: -
A YES: Council MEmbers Smith, Dougall, Gallagher, Moots and Mayor Millis
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted this 22nd day of October, 1991.
