HONORARY PROCLAMATION DECLARING
SEPTEMBER 17 -23, 2015 AS
''CONSTITUTION WEEK"
WHEREAS, September 17, 2015 marked the two hundred and twenty-fifth anniversary of the
drafting of the Constitution of the United States of America by the Constitutional Convention;
and ·
WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper to officially recognize America's most important document
and the anniversary of its creation; and
WHEREAS, our Constitution stands as a testament to the tenacity of Americans throughout
history to maintain their liberties and freedom, and to ensure those inalienable rights to every
American; and
WHEREAS, public law 915 guarantees the issuing of a proclamation each year by the
President of the United States of America designating September 17th through 23rd as
Constitution Week.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that I, Jim Hill, Mayor of the City of Arroyo Grande, on
behalf of the City Council, do hereby declare September 17 through 23, 2015 as "Constitution
Week" in the City of Arroyo Grande. ·
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Seal
of the Cify of Arroyo_ Grande to be affixed this 22nd day-of September, 2015.
