RESOLUTION NO. 2480
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ARROYO GRANDE REQUESTING AUTHORIZATION
TO CLOSE VARIOUS CITY STREETS FOR
THE ARROYO VALLEY CUSTOM CAR SHOW
WHEREAS, organizers of the 1991 Arroyo Valley Custom Car Show
have requested closure of portions of Mason, Bridge, Nelson and
L Short Streets and the Olohan Alley/City Hall Parking Lot for the
annual custom automobile exhibition Saturday, July 27,' 1991; and
WHEREAS, members of the Arroyo Valley Car Club will be
responsible for traffic control and cleanup at the show.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE
HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
1. That Mason street, from Branch Street to Nelson Street, shall be
closed from 6:30 to 10:30 A.M. on July 27, 1991, for the purposes
of registration of car show'participants.
2. That Bridge Street from Branch Street to Traffic Way; one side
of Nelson street from Bridge street to Mason Stree~ Short Street
from Branch Street to Olohan Alley, and the Olohan Alley/City Hall
Parking Lot shall be closed from 6:30 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. 'on July 27,
1991, for the purposes of displaying the custom cars.
3. That the Arroyo Valley, Car Club will present a written plan for
approval to the Police Department regarding traffic control by
Friday, July 19, 1991. The plan must specify traffic control
measures, use of barricades, designated signing and detour routes
to be utilized between 6:30 A.M. and 4:30 P.M. on the day of the'
Car Show.
- 4. That members of the Arroyo Valley car Club will be responsible
for cleanup after the show.
On motion of council Member Smith , seconded by
Council Member Dougall , and on the following roll call
vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Smith, Dougall, Olsen and Mayor Pro Tem Moots
NOES: None
ABSENT: Mayor Millis
the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted this 9th day of
July, 1991.
