The Council met in regular adjourned meeting with Mayor de Leon presiding.
Upon roll call, Council Members Spierling, Gallagher, Schlegel and Millie
reported present. Also in attendance were all of the City's Department Heads.
STUDY OF PRE-PRELIMINARY BUDGET PROPOSED FOR 1977-78
The Council and City's Department Heads reviewed the proposed pre-
preliminary Municipal Budget for the 1977-76 fiscal year, covering general
programs and projects proposed by Department Heads that sill be incorporate8
i~t their budget requests to the C1ty.
The Couneil reviewed ell departments, acme of the highlights of. which
are as follower
1) All efforts should be made to cover the coat of services to the
public by adequate service charges.
2) Aeviea and investigate insurance on volunteer firelighters aith
reference to their salary in case of injury.
3) Review the feasibility of establishing a water sell in etxother Pssk.
4) Check into the possibility of purchasing a hydraulio sewer olesner
at this time"in order to offset price inoreuea.
5) Request staff to prepare s report and reeommendatione on the sale
of sand from the Corporation Yard.
6) Gst our City Attorney's opinion on the possibility o! plaainq a
charge on ali nee buildings for future capital improvements and projeots.
