CITY COUNCIL
ARROYO GRANDE, CALIFORNIA
APRIL 25, 1977
4:00 P.M.
The City Council met in regular adjourned session wit11 Mayor de Leon
presiding. Upon roll call, Council Members Gallagher, Schlegel and Millis
reported present. Councilman Spierling is absent.
REVIEW OF-PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE SUBDIVISION ORDINANCE
City Administrator Butch asked the Council if the staff could review, item
by item, the comments prepared by Councilman Millis dated April 12, 1977
regarding proposed amendments to the Subdivision Ordinance. After review, the
following changes were recommended to the Subdivision Ordinance:
1. SECTION 9-3.207A -"interested Person'.', to read as follows:
"For purposes of this Chapter, an interested person shall be
any person affected by a decision of the Planning Commission.
In the event an appeal is filed regarding a decision of the
Planning Commission and a public hearing is granted, those
persona noticed of the time and data of the hearing by letter
shall be those property owners of record, on the most recent
tax roll, who own property which lies within the three hundred
foot (300') public notice area."
2. - SECTION 9-3.608 (c) - Approval, Conditional Approval, or Disapproval.
Time limit prescribed for action by the Planning Commission is
changed from thirty days to fifty (50) days.
3. SECTION 9-3.618. Proposed amendment is deleted.
4. SECTION 9-3.702 - Lot Line Adjustments, is amended to read as follows,
BUT NOT without consulting the City Attorney first:
"Applications where the division consists of a lot adjustment
shall follow the same procedure as prescribed for a Parcel Map."
The Council generally agreed that these changes would be brought to the
City Council at its May 9, 1977 meeting to consider adoption.
On motion of Councilman Gallagher, seconded by Councilman. Schlegel and
unanimously carried, the meeting adjourned at 5:20 P. :~
