ARROYO GRANDE, CALIFORNIA 4:00 P.M.
The City Council met in combined regular adjourned session and a session
as required by the Election Codes of the State of California, with Mayor Pro Tem
Millis presiding. Upon roll call, Council Members Spierling, Gallagher and
Schlegel reported present. Mayor de Leon is absent.
RESOLUTION ADOPTION - RECITE FACT OF THE SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION: MAY 10, 1977
The City Council reviewed the Certificate of the City Clerk showing the
result of the canvass of all votes cast at the Special Municipal Election held in
the City on May 10, 1977, on an Initiative Measure to Preserve Agricultural Land
within the City, per a proposed Ordinance which appeared in full on the ballot,
and was the only item voted on. Total votes cast in favor of the proposed
Ordinance adoption was Nine Hundred and Fourteen (914); and total votes case in
opposition to the adoption of the proposed Ordinance was One Thousand Four Hundred
and Seventy-Two (1,472). Administrator Butch read the title of a resolution
declaring the results of a Special Municipal Election; thereafter, a motion was
made by Councilman Schlegel, seconded by Councilman Gallagher and unanimously
carried, to dispense with reading the balance of this resolution.
RESOLUTION NO.- 1280
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO
GRANDE, CALIFORNIA, RECITING THE FACT OF THE SPECIAL
MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD IN SAID CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE ON
THE 10TH DAY OF MAY, 1977, DECLARING THE RESULT THEREOF
AND SUCH OTHER MATTERS AS ARE PROVIDEDBY LAW.
On motion of Councilman Schlegel, seconded by Councilman Gallagher and on
the following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Spierling, Gallagher, Schlegel and Mayor Pro Tem Millis
NOES: None-
, ABSENT: Mayor de Leon
the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted this 17th day of May, 1977.
SET ADDITIONAL BUDGET STUDY SESSION
Administrator Butch recommended, and the Council agreed, to set another
budget sessionfor Thursday, May 19, 1977 at 3:30 P.M.
MAYOR DE LEON ENTERED THE MEETING AND IS NOW PRESIDING.
STUDY SESSION: REVIEW OF PRELIMINARY MUNICIPAL BUDGET FOR 1977-78
Administrator Butch reviewed with the Council the Preliminary 1977-78
Municipal Budget, beginning with Page "A" of the Budget Message through Page "R".
ADJOURNMENT
On fietion et ceuncilman Millis, seconded by Councilman Schlegel and
unanimously carried, the meeting adjourned at 5:35 P.M..until 3:30 P.M, on
May 19, 1977, for a budget study session and executive session regarding
personnel mat s. ~
